i picked up this copy of the decameron at a huge book sale today, and when i brought it home and started flipping through the pages, i discovered its previous owner was a bit fanatical with his criticism. i thought only souls went to hell but this guy insists that the book belongs there too. furthermore, he left some negatives of two women shoved in between some pages. given that the book feels eerily like the beginnings of a horror movie, i’m now convinced that this man was perhaps a serial killer of some kind (a la SE7EN) and those two women were his first (of ten, naturally) victims. hmm…
